3. Combined Tour of the old town and town hall

Let yourself be guided through narrow alleys and across historic squares through the 2000 year-old history of Aachen. Experience all facets of Aachen, a modern city with beautiful historic town houses, many old and new fountains and innumerable stories all about the Cathedral and the 'Rathaus' (town hall), which was built on the foundation walls of the Carolingian palace history. Let yourself be guided through a building, which today is the location for the famous International Charlemagne Prize and at the same time is the official residence of the Lord Mayor.
